In Company Training worldwide
EMRIC provides basic, advanced and specialised expert courses.
We train on-site and in-company. Or in external educational centres and universities.
We provide global service. We teach in different languages. We are fluent in French, English, German, Norwegian, and Dutch, but also have experience with training through translators.
Our approach can be adapted to each group, setting and situation. Most courses combine theory and hands-on practice.

» On site Advanced MR: image quality/scan parameters, 2 days
Advanced content
Achieve the best image quality for various pathologies by using specific protocols and manipulating scan parameters.
Image Quality is studied by analysing Signal to Noise, Contrast, Resolution and Artefact reduction. With regard to RF pulse sequences, we evaluate TSE (FSE), (FAST/TURBO) gradient echo, EPI and GRASE – TGSE.
EMRIC tends to combine theory and practice, physics and technology. We review applications regarding protocol handling and discuss clinical cases.
Expert training
An Expert Training course comprises up to three days. It puts a strong focus on the latest developments in specific diagnostic areas, such as MRA, MR Cardiac, Neurological, Abdominal and Orthopaedic MR.
These are master classes for experienced radiologists, radiographers and MRI technologists. They upgrade the knowledge of MRI, with help of clinical cases, leading to direct results in machine handling, improved diagnostic capabilities and wider MR knowledge.
For example:
» On site Expert Training on MRA 2 days
» RF pulse sequences and parameter optimisation
A special component in these Expert Training series is a technical course on Image Quality: RF pulse sequences and parameter optimisation. EMRIC will explain and discuss the interactions and dependancies between specific scan parameters. This will lead to a broader knowledge and understanding of how parameters can be manipulated to gain optimum results for you and your team.
3T
EMRIC is specialized in 3T since 2000. It is a sophisticated technology that provides exceptional opportunities in image quality, clarity and overall efficiency. In order to fully profit from its potential, it is essential to implement a new way of working and thinking.
EMRIC helps 3T-operating teams and radiologists to achieve efficient workflow, high quality image interpretation and a better and earlier diagnostic result. We provide basic to highly advanced training on various aspects.
EMRIC provides basic to highly advanced training on the following aspects:
» RF-sequences to be adapted to the high field including new techniques;
» Parameter settings;
» MR parameters settings;
» Artefacts;
» Contrast;
» Image impression / adaptation;
» Clinical applications like fMRI, Neuro, Abdominal, Orthopaedic, MRA, Spectroscopy, Cardiac, DTI, DCE- and High Resolution Imaging;
» Safety aspects regarding SAR and PNS effects.
EMRIC also provides advice to organisations that are orienting on what machine to purchase — the 1.5 or 3 Tesla — comparing several systems from different vendors.
EMRIC has numerous years of international experience in 3T-consulting. We have provided consultancy, training and lectures on 3T in Belgium, France, Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Taiwan and Thailand.
Troubleshooting
We cover a series of challenging scenarios and look into a variety of elements, for example:
> What strategy is followed in case of emergency, complications or claustrophobic patients?
> What is the protocol for a hang-up of the MR system?
> How long does it take to restart the system?
> Is there an emergency protocol for patients if there are complications?
> Is there an emergency button?
> When to do a quench?
> What to do if a quench happens?
> Electricity switch?
> Is there a safety protocol?
Fast Imaging Methods
Refresh and deepen your knowledge. It is possible to run this course also in company and specially adjusted to your request. 1 day theory, 1 day hands-on specialization module MRI
Course includes two days: one day theory and one dayhands-on training on an MR system (with assignments).
THEORETICAL PART
» Explanation of the different RF sequences: TSE/FSE, TIR/TIRM, GRE, TGRE/FGRE, TGSE/GRASE, EPI
» Specific Artifacts of the RF sequences
» Side effects of the different RF sequences
» Optimization of the different RF sequences
» Protocol Handling and Manipulation
» The influence and the connection of the different Scan parameters using the diverse RF sequences
PRACTICAL PART
This will be done on a 1.5T MR system. On the basis of tasks and protocols the diverse aspects of the theory will be illustrated. Adjustment and making the “optimal” RF sequence is of course very dependent on the personal wishes of the user.
